A Brief History
Mr. Anderson was born in Japan a long, long, long time ago. In 1972 his father retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel and backup navigator for Air Force One. Mr. Anderson has lived in many places during his lifetime. These places include Japan, Georgia, Maryland, Washington State, Idaho, Montana and finally Southern California where he currently lives with his family.
Mr. Anderson attended Washington State University where he earned bachelor degree's in both Business Administration and Psychology. He has also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Chapman University. After working in business management for 7 years he began his teaching career in Oceanside, California. He has lived in north San Diego County for the last 30+ years. Mr. Anderson lives with his lovely wife of 30 years and has two daughters. One daughter is a Sophomore at the University of Utah and the older daughter just graduated from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts with a Mechanical Engineering Degree with a Design minor. She is currently working as an instructor at MIT.
Mr. Anderson's teaching career includes 28 years at several positions and schools all in the Oceanside Unified School District. He began his career teaching elementary school then became the Dean of Students at King Middle School. After that he taught Business Math at Oceanside's Alternative High School, the Clair Burgener Academy. He returned to King Middle School to teach 7th and 8th grade mathematics. Currently, he is beginning his sixth year teaching 7th and 8th grade mathematics on Camp Pendleton at Santa Margarita Community School.
Surfing, golfing and traveling are a few of Mr. Anderson's passions. Next time you see him in the water, say hello!
